Our Sled Dog Experience
Privately available only to our property guests
Mushing is the Alaskan lifestyle for Elke and Matt Hall, owners and lead mushers of Silver Ace Kennel.
They live in an off-grid, solar panel yurt. An outside well on their 40 acres and a wood shed for their stove is a part of daily life. With sled dogs being at the center of it.
Each day starts and ends with taking care of their canine companions. While daily life together is why they do it, racing is their goals and their achievements. Matt and Elke together have won 5 vet care awards in their careers. Awards given for outstanding care of the dogs while finishing in the top field of the race.
They have won many races such as the Copper Basin 300, Yukon Quest Alaska 300, Solstice 50 and 20.
Matt and their team of Aces were champions of The Yukon Quest 1,000 in 2017 and finished 2nd place in Iditarod, 2024. The biggest and most competitive sled dog race in the world.
